From the road
I’m writing from a hotel somewhere in Iowa. I’ve been having a really great time on the road with our label mates Ego Likeness. They’re an excellent band and amazing people, and I think you ought to check ‘em out.
The stripped down Bella Morte shows have been so much fun. I have to admit to being nervous at the first one. It was in La Crosse, WI, and there weren’t a ton of people there, but I was nervous for the first time in ages! After getting that show under my belt I was fine, and the stripped down version of the band has been a ton of fun! And seeing fans’ faces light up when the first few notes of Fall No More, The Rain Within Her Hands and Relics kick in is priceless. LOVED the shows in Chicago and Cedar Rapids, hoping for more of the same once we get to St. Louis and Indy. We’ve been getting tons of requests to play this set in other cities, and we might… but no promises! After getting home, Tony L. and I plan on recording the acoustic versions of Find Forever Gone, Fades Like A Song and As the Storm Unfolds and making them available to you.
As for my novel, The Sticks, I sold out of everything I had with me by the Chicago show! And the books selling like mad online too. It was #1 in presales and #2 in digital downloads at Horror Mall for April. And it’s doing well on Amazon.com. I’ve re-ordered copies and will have them for the shows in Raleigh, NC, Springfield, VA and Charlottesville, VA.
That’s all for now. Thanks to everyone who’s made it to the shows and mentioned it online. Your support kicks ass and we love you for it!! See you at the shows folks!
~Andy
